How We Can Help Develop Your Denim — Photos, Tech Packs or Samples

Denim development / Guangzhou, China

Start with what you have. We’ll help you take the next step.

You do not need to have every production detail decided before contacting TANTYDENIM. Whether you have reference photos, a Tech Pack, or a physical garment sample, we are your Guangzhou-based point of coordination. We discuss sizing, fabrics, trims, construction, feasibility and sampling details with suitable partner factories, review their recommendations and bring decisions back to you for approval. You do not have to resolve every technical question or manage several suppliers yourself. We are not a factory owner.

Choose your starting point

Which situation describes you?

Select the route closest to your project. You can contact us with the documents or references you already have—no lengthy questionnaire required.

01 / Reference photos

I only have pictures

Our partner factory can estimate proportions and suggest first-sample measurements from your images and preferred fit.

  1. Share photos, target size and the design elements that matter most.
  2. We obtain the factory’s proposed measurements, discuss technical questions with its pattern maker, then send key parameters to you. You can approve or request changes before the first sample is made.
  3. Where fabrics or trims are unknown, the factory chooses plausible first-sample options using experience and available materials. These are provisional rather than final approvals.
  4. Review the finished first sample. If you dislike the fabric, we can discuss sending physical swatches before a paid second sample.

Send first: reference images, preferred fit/size, special details and approximate order quantity.

02 / Tech Pack

I have a Tech Pack, but materials aren’t selected

A Tech Pack is an important starting reference, but it does not automatically mean fabrics, trims, final measurements or every production detail have been confirmed. We help review the missing decisions before making the first sample.

  1. Send your available Tech Packs. The factory first studies the drawings, proposed construction and any measurements supplied; missing or unclear specifications are flagged rather than guessed as client-approved.
  2. Even with a Tech Pack, the factory may identify missing measurements or recommend different parameters. We coordinate those details with the factory, present the proposed specifications and any practical trade-offs to you, and obtain your confirmation before authorizing the relevant sampling work.
  3. If you have supplied Tech Packs but have not selected fabric or trims, we consult the factory and material suppliers to identify workable fabrics, lining, buttons, zippers and other components based on your intended result and available budget. We communicate options, trade-offs and any material substitutions for your decision; recommendations are not treated as final approval.
  4. We explain which materials are approved and which are provisional for the first sample. Swatches or samples can be arranged when closer confirmation is needed.

Send first: Tech Pack, target sample size, any desired look or material references, and approximate quantity. You may mark fabric or trims as undecided.

03 / Physical garment

I already have a sample garment

For a close match, an actual garment often provides the clearest reference for size, handfeel, construction and trims.

  1. Send garment photos and explain what must match or change.
  2. We coordinate with the factory to assess whether the physical sample should be sent for measurement and construction review, and explain how the sample would be handled.
  3. We work with the factory to investigate matching fabrics, trims and processes, then explain any material or construction differences for your approval.
  4. We agree the sample-development scope first. Exact 100% replication cannot be guaranteed where materials or processes differ.

Send first: garment photos, requested changes and approximate order quantity. We will discuss shipping the original before you send it.

Our role

We coordinate the details between you and the factory

You tell us the result you want. We discuss your questions with pattern makers, factory technicians, wash specialists and material suppliers as needed, gather workable options, and explain what needs your approval. We do not treat a supplier suggestion as a confirmed result until it has been checked.

Review sizing and construction

Discuss factory-proposed dimensions, pattern-making questions and construction methods with the relevant team, then summarize key parameters and recommendations for your approval.

Find fabric and trims

Coordinate with factories and material suppliers to source denim, lining, buttons, zippers, labels, leather or alternatives when a project has no final material selection, and present feasible options for your decision.

Develop and revise samples

Arrange the first sample, gather feedback, assess feasible improvements and confirm the fee and scope of a further sample before making it.

Coordinate production and checks

Match suitable partner factories, coordinate critical approvals and arrange QC checks against agreed production specifications and samples.

Clear responsibilities

You decide the design. We coordinate the details.

You do not need to manage a pattern maker, fabric supplier, trim supplier and production team by yourself. We bring the right technical questions to our partner factories and explain the feasible options before you decide.

Your part

Tell us what matters

Share what you have, describe your intended look and fit, and approve important design choices, sample costs and the final sample.

Our part

Coordinate and clarify

We discuss measurements, fabric, trims, washes, special construction and timing with the relevant partners, then summarize options and open decisions for you.

Factory’s part

Verify and develop

Our partner factory checks technical feasibility, proposes workable methods and makes samples against the agreed development scope. Unverified options remain subject to factory confirmation.

Privacy: Client-owned designs, artwork, Tech Packs and project messages are treated as confidential and are not used as public examples without permission.

A clearer process

From your request to an agreed production approach

Our role is to coordinate each technical question, not merely forward messages. When a measurement, material, hardware detail or construction method is unclear, we work with the appropriate factory team to propose a practical next step before asking you to decide.

01 · Review

We review your photos, Tech Pack or sample and identify missing decisions.

02 · Recommend

We work with the factory to clarify measurements, material options and technical solutions, then summarize the options for your review.

03 · Confirm & sample

You confirm the key parameters and proposed sample scope, cost and timetable that we have coordinated with the factory before work proceeds.

04 · Inspect & approve

Review the physical sample, confirm changes if needed and approve the final sample before bulk production.

Before you start

Common questions

Can you work from photos without a Tech Pack?

Yes. We can coordinate an exploratory first sample using pattern-maker recommendations and factory-selected materials. The first result is a development starting point, not a guarantee that every feature visible in a photo can be replicated exactly.

My Tech Pack has no final fabric or trim information. Is that a problem?

Not necessarily. We review the garment requirements with a factory and help source possible materials and components. You can review proposed technical parameters and relevant material options before sampling. We will make clear which materials are still provisional.

What if the first sample does not match what I imagined?

Tell us what is different: fit, measurements, material, wash, trim or construction. We compare your feedback with what was agreed and discuss feasible changes. For a fabric change, physical swatches may help before making another garment sample.

Do I pay for the second sample?

A further physical sample normally requires a new quotation and sample fee because fabric, trims, pattern work and labour have costs. We confirm the applicable charges before proceeding. If there is a deviation from an agreed specification, we review the cause and appropriate correction separately.

Can you guarantee an exact copy if I send the original garment?

A physical reference improves comparison, but exact matching depends on available materials, trims, manufacturing processes and washes. We will identify practical differences before you approve a sample.

What order quantities can you consider?

Our standard MOQ is 50 pieces per style, colour and wash. Smaller trials of 30–49 pieces may be reviewed case by case, depending on materials, washing, accessories and factory feasibility.

Not sure which route fits your project?

Send what you already have, even if it is only a picture or an incomplete Tech Pack. Tell us roughly what you want to develop and the intended quantity. We will coordinate the technical questions with the appropriate factory and identify the next practical step. We only ask you to make the key design and commercial decisions; an unfinished specification is not treated as a confirmed production order.
