BEFORE BULK PRODUCTION
What should a brand approve before bulk denim production?
Approve the washed sample and the product brief together. Confirm the finished waist, hip, rise, inseam and leg opening, together with the intended size range and measurement requirements.

Before bulk production, brands should also review our denim fit sample and size-set approval process to confirm measurements and garment balance.
Approve the fabric composition, weight and hand feel; the wash reference and acceptable shade direction; and the visible construction details including pocket placement, seams, topstitching, closures, hardware, labels and packing requirements.

What should you receive at each quality review stage?
Agree the review scope before sampling or production: which measurements and details will be checked, which photos or written records you need, and which decisions need your confirmation. The records below are a project checklist; the exact document format, inspection coverage and delivery points are confirmed for your order.

Set the standard together: measuring points, tolerances and acceptance requirements follow your approved specification. If a requirement is unclear or technically unsuitable, it needs discussion before the check. Laboratory testing or third-party inspection, if required, needs a separately confirmed scope, timing and cost.

BEFORE A REORDER
What needs to be checked before repeating a denim order?
Start with the previous approved style and order reference. Confirm which sample, specification and revision record should guide the new run, then review what has changed. A reorder should not rely only on a photograph or a remembered wash name.
- Agree the reference file: identify the approved sample, latest measurement specification, wash reference, trims, labels, packing details and previous correction comments. At first-order approval, agree which references should be retained for a possible repeat order.
- Check material availability: reconfirm the fabric, colour and trims. If the original material or lot is unavailable, review a proposed alternative with the customer before proceeding.
- Review fit and wash: use the agreed measuring method and tolerance, and the approved physical wash reference where available. Fabric lots and washing can introduce variation; an agreed shade range is more useful than a promise of identical colour on every piece.
- Decide what needs renewed approval: a fabric, wash, construction, fit or trim change may require a new sample or detail confirmation. The review needed depends on the change.
- Confirm the new order terms: quantity per style and colour, size breakdown, current price, materials, production schedule and shipping arrangements must be confirmed for this run.
Send us: the previous style or order reference, any updated requirements, quantity by colour and size, and the delivery destination and target date. If a previous record or physical sample is missing, tell us so the next approval step can be agreed.

FAQ
WHEN A CHECK DOES NOT PASS
A QC check is useful only if everyone knows what happens next.
We compare the production garment with the approved sample, current specification and the checkpoints agreed for the style. If a relevant point falls outside that standard, it is recorded and reviewed before shipment release rather than quietly treated as acceptable.
- Measurement issue: recheck the measuring method, affected quantity and tolerance before deciding whether correction, rework or another production decision is needed.
- Wash or shade issue: compare the garment with the approved physical reference and agreed shade range, then separate acceptable variation from pieces outside the agreed range.
- Construction or trim issue: identify whether the problem is isolated or repeated and whether it can be corrected without creating another quality risk.
- Material or process change: if a change could affect fit, appearance or performance, the affected point should be reviewed again against the approved standard.
Shipment should not be released simply because production is finished. The unresolved point, proposed action and approval status need to be clear first.
