What happens during your sample review?
- Define the fit. Share the intended wearing position, base size and waist, hip, rise and leg measurements. If you only have images, we identify the measurements and material choices still needed.
- Develop and compare. We coordinate the sample with a suitable production partner, then review the finished garment against the current brief, including wash appearance, construction and the agreed fit points.
- Record your changes. Your fit and appearance comments are written against the sample version and passed to the production partner. We flag technical conflicts before a change is made.
- Approve the next step. You confirm the revised sample and any remaining decisions before grading or bulk production. Further sample rounds, charges and timing are agreed for the actual changes.
Sample delivery is quoted for your destination. A shipping-included reference for one destination does not automatically apply elsewhere. See the sample scope and cost guide and fit and size-set approval process.
Why a reference image is not enough for a firm quotation
For a first run of 30–50 pieces, fabric selection matters as much as the quantity. The usable fabric width affects cutting yield and consumption; composition, weight, shrinkage, available stock and sourcing cost may also differ between visually similar options. Wash, hardware, fit and construction must be reviewed as well. Without verified fabric details and an assessed consumption plan, we cannot provide a reliable bulk unit price.
Brands can begin with pictures, sketches or a physical reference sample. We first identify missing fabric and construction decisions, check sourcing feasibility and then move toward a sample and confirmed quotation. A confirmed sample-development fee, where available for the particular project, is separate from an unconfirmed bulk-price estimate.
From Your Idea to Bulk Production
- Share your brief. Send references, a tech pack, measurements, target quantity and destination.
- Confirm development details. We review fabric, fit, wash, trims, branding and packing requirements.
- Make and review the sample. Sampling timing depends on product complexity, material readiness, wash requirements and revision rounds.
- Confirm the bulk order. Final price, production lead time and order details are confirmed before production starts.
Fit and waist-to-hip development for women’s denim
A brand developing curvy-fit or high-rise jeans may have a clear design reference but still need to define the target waist-to-hip relationship, intended wearing position and fabric stretch. Before sampling, we clarify the base size, key waist, hip and rise measurements, fit expectations and available denim options. We then use the physical fit sample and the brand’s comments to identify what needs revision before grading and bulk approval. This is a typical development workflow, not a claim that every fit can be achieved from a reference photo alone.
For a more detailed approval process, see our denim fit sample and size-set guide.
Lead Time
Bulk production timing depends on final sample approval, material readiness, wash and trim requirements, order quantity and the production schedule. The confirmed lead time is reviewed for each order after these details are agreed.

Women’s jeans development FAQ
What is the MOQ for private-label women’s jeans?
Standard MOQ is 50 pcs per style and colour. Trials from 30 pcs per style and colour may be reviewed subject to fabric availability, wash, trims, construction and size breakdown. Mixed sizes are available; final workable quantities are confirmed for each project.
Can I start women’s jeans development from a reference image?
Yes. A reference image, sketch, physical garment or previously produced base style can start the discussion. We identify the measurements, material choices and construction decisions that need confirmation before sampling.
How long does a women’s jeans sample take?
The current target is 5–7 days after key development details and the material route are confirmed. Special sourcing, wash trials and revisions can take longer. The project schedule and delivery destination are confirmed separately.
What needs to be approved before bulk production?
The sample version, measurements, fit, fabric, wash appearance, trims and size requirements need to be agreed. Open items and requested changes are recorded before the approved sample is used as the production reference.
