Fabric Stock-supported denim and specially sourced fabric can require different development arrangements.
Wash Clean rinses, vintage fading, abrasion, laser artwork and detailed effects require different approval points.
Trims Custom buttons, rivets, labels, patches, hangtags and packaging may have separate supplier requirements.
Size ratio Mixed sizes are accepted, but the intended size breakdown should be confirmed before production.

How does private-label jeans sampling work?

A clear sampling brief helps the brand and manufacturer review the same product requirements. Before sampling begins, the intended fit, fabric, wash, construction, trims, size range and quantity should be defined as clearly as possible.

How long does a private-label jeans sample take?

Sampling timing depends on product complexity, material availability, wash requirements and sample revisions. A sampling plan is reviewed after product details, fabrics, trims and development requirements are confirmed.

Specially sourced denim, custom hardware, complex construction or detailed wash development may require additional preparation before sampling can begin.

Before Bulk Production

What should a brand approve before bulk denim production?

Approve the physical sample together with the agreed product brief. The approval should confirm the finished measurements, fit, fabric, wash appearance, hand feel, construction, pocket placement, seams, hardware, labels and packaging.

The approved physical sample provides a practical comparison standard for bulk production. Record the approved sample version and retain the physical standard for production review.

If laboratory or destination-market testing is required, include the required test methods and acceptance criteria in the brief before production.
